buffmonster/project sf headline LOS this Sat.

Info here

Big jam of note:

The rub is a movement at this point.

and art stuff:

InPrint Comic Art Show @ MassArt
The MassArt comic group Inprint just published their first beautiful book filled with comics by MassArt students and Alums, myself included. Shelli Paroline, a current student at MassArt, put together the whole project. There is an exhibition of the artists in the book at the Godine Family gallery at MassArt up through March 23rd. The book is on sale for only ten bucks at the Boston Zine fair @ MassArt this weekend and also though mail order. All the money goes back into the group for the next book.

the lost mixtape: 5th platoon.

Here for your listening pleasure is an exclusive download of a Neil Armstrong mix cd he made for Rocafella Records. Proof you say? Well, here is the artwork for it that they put together.

For one reason or another, they ended up not using it. So hear it is, special download for you 5P list members. If you like his other stuff, this is worth a listen. All files in MP3 format. The theme of the tape - the 1st half is "Party", the 2nd half is the "after-party".There are some Roc Music songs throughout the mix. It was also made in about 7 days. All different music, all different genres. Download and enjoy, drop it onto your ipod or burn it..

wednesdays at Zuzus

Electronic/ambient/soundwave columnist for the Phoenix, David Day(a stellar dj with too many other projects to list), has been inviting the best djs in the area for his new night : Wednesdays at Zuzus. I've been honored with this week's slot where i'll be mixing a bunch of Rush and current stuff while practicing my circa '92 scratching.

project sf updates

In like a lion..

Project SF is coming on strong this Spring with a newly updated website
http://www.projectsf.com and some big shows in March.

We will be headlining Legends of Style 4: Icons, on Saturday - March
18th at
the Boston Center for the Arts (Cyclorama) in the South End. We'll be
painting live and showing new work from several of our members. The
show
will also feature L.A. based artist Buff Monster and the work of over
30
other artists. Please come out and support us:
Legendsofstyle.net

Nick Z and Mister Never recently returned from their show in
Washington,
D.C. - Wall Snatchers. The show was a huge success and you can see some
pictures of it on the
WPA/C website.
If you missed the opening it will
be up
until March 26th:

Illside Ink recently partnered with Start Mobile to bring you some
fresh
artwork for your cell phone screensavers:

If you're in Boston next week be sure to stop by the Reel Bar at 477
Cambridge St., Union Square, Allston on Thursday - March 9th. Project
SF is
having an informal BYOA (Bring Your Own Art) party. Guests will be
invited
to bring their own art to hang while Project SF provides the beats,
some
freshly painted bathrooms by Nick Z and Illside Ink, as well as a ton
of
photos projected on the walls throughout the night.
