legends of style 3

Taking place at the huge Boston Convention center in South Boston, Legends of Style exhibited 30+ street artist including Ricky Powell, Sever and Project Sf. The jam was kindof weird as the conference room used was lit and layed out like a dental convention held in Hartford. The lighting was harsh and high ceiling made the art feel small. The sound sytem was kindof small for the room and the best part(s) happened during Ricky Powell's slide show: 1)"Thanks to DJ Pumpernickel !" and 2) When that dude started heckling Ricky. Underground art get's it's own prom..... Best in show was the group piece by SF(some of the best work i've seen from Josh Falk) and Sever's showings.

On the other hand, you gots Thomas Hirschhorn's exhibit at the ICA. Cohesive, overwhelming, and thought provoking, the exhibit had many of the characteristics missing from Legends of Style . It follows camouflage throughout consumerism, war and follows many of the dystopian themes collected in the DPM book from Maharishi. Highly recommended.
And our friends Apollo Sunshine made Entertainment Weekly's must list. You're the man now dog!
No, seriously, you're the man now dog
